In late May, 1965, Ticket To Ride rose to the top of the Billboard charts.

Released in April that year, it was the band's seventh consecutive No.1 in the UK and their third consecutive No.1 in the USA. It also reached No.1 in Canada, Ireland and Australia.

The song appears in one of the ski sequences in the film Help! And is also the seventh song on the Help! LP tracklist.
