hmv is supporting the "Music is GREAT" campaign as part of this year's celebrations marking the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

They are inviting fans to vote for the greatest British albums and films of the past 60 years.

Incredibly there are five Beatles albums that have been nominated in the 60 selections - Abbey Road, Revolver, Rubber Soul, Sgt Pepper and The Beatles (White Album).

Yellow Submarine Feature Film Restored For May Release on DVD and Blu-ray

Once upon a time…or maybe twice…there was an unearthly paradise called Pepperland…

The Beatles' classic 1968 animated feature film, Yellow Submarine, has been digitally restored for DVD and Blu-ray release on June 4th (June 5th in North America). The film's songtrack album will be reissued on CD on the same date.

Currently out of print, the film has been restored in 4K digital resolution - all done by hand, frame by frame.

The Beatles to be released on TouchTunes on April 1, 2012

The Legendary Band’s First Appearance on Digital Jukeboxes Across North America Debuts April 1, 2012

Las Vegas NV/ New York, NY —March 14, 2012— Apple Corps Ltd., EMI Music, and TouchTunes Interactive Networks, the largest out-of-home entertainment network in North America, announced today that the music of The Beatles will now be featured across their network of over 50,000 digital jukeboxes. Starting April 1, 2012, TouchTunes will add The Beatles’ 13 legendary studio albums to its catalog.

The Guitar Collection: George Harrison iPad app will be released through iTunes on February 23, two days before George’s birthdate.

The app brings George Harrison’s private guitar collection to life through photographs, detailed descriptions, audio, and video footage.

For the first time, with the help of unique 360° imaging by photographer Steven Sebring, fans can see the scratches, dings, and worn threads on the guitars as if they were themselves holding the instruments.
