While on one hand, its good that Giles has gone back to the master tapes of SGT PEPPER, the rest of the back catalogue of studio albums needs another re-boot because, like what Giles did with the 1s collection, makes it stand out against the other albums.

Got my new copy of the 1's CD plus the 1+ DVD/CD set. The trouble with re-mastering this CD version is now Giles Martin is faced with the mammoth task of doing the same to each of the studio albums that were re-issued in 2009 and giving those the 2.0 cinema treatment.

I'm looking forward to this repackaging and had been wondering when an official video compilation would be released. I'm also thinking that the Beatles' 2009 masters need attention again particularly the HARD DAYS' NIGHT Stereo mix and the Stereo HELP particularly. George Martin should not have put echo on DIZZY MISS LIZZY.

For a short while I wondered why BEATLES FOR SALE wasn't included in this set but its for one apparent reason. It has the same virtually identical cover as the British version. No new photographs inside the gatefold area either. Perhaps UNIVERSAL could release this as a limited edition stand alone for the completists among us??

What a shame this project was the great fallout between members of the group. This is how the album should have arrived in the first place.
