Er, my name is Diane... I LOVE the Beatles for a few times ago but I still consider myself a metal fan. Hm, what else...
A Day In The Life (Sgt Pepper)
Tell us why:
I don't know, I guess it's because this is the FIRST Beatles song that have made me think : "O.K, I definitely love those guys." There are a lot of songs that I love as much as this one but... Contrary to the other ones, 'A day in the life' is totally unique. A mean, the other Beatles songs that I'm in love with are avant-garde or simply amazing, so they are awesome, but 'A day in the life' looks like no other song that have ever been made before, or after the Beatles. (I hope you understood me, as you can see, my English isn't fluent... ^^)
Tell us why:
It's simple : in this album, the songs that are not interesting or not extraordinary are a minoritary! And I think it's in this album that there are the most incredible songs they ever made. ('Helter Skelter' -I can't still believe this is Paul McCartney who has wrote it!-, 'The continuing story of Bungalow Bill' -I'm sorry, but I think the voice of Yoko Ono looks amazing on it-, the two Harrison's song 'When my guitar gently weeps' -PERFECT!- and 'Shavoy truffle', etc...) I know this album is controversial because of the conflictual relationships in the band and the presence of Yoko Ono, but I think maybe that's why it's the best album they ever made...
