“Hey. Sorry it's been so long... With school back in it's hard to find extra time, ya know? Anyways, have you heard that Bob Dylan's new album Tempest is the top third album in the country right now? That's amazing, I think. One Direction isn't even in the top ten and if I'm not mistaken, they just came out with a new album. That didn't happen out of luck.....”
“Based on the reputation our generation retains for being, in a few words, considerably less than erudite, its hard to believe that we could better understand anything. Let alone the work of an artist that was current for them, and hadn't even performed together for over a decade before we were even born. You know what I mean?”
“Thanks, I'll give them a listen. So the "Magical Mystery Tour" movie is in theaters! The cinema closest to me that's actually playing it is about 9 hours away, of course... But it's great that it's even an option for those who don't have to leave the state to see it, ya know?(;”
“Well I was first introduced to Bob Dylan by another Beatles.com user and now he's a close second to The Beatles... So I trust that Pink Floyd will have the same effect(: And I'm trying to broaden my horizons a bit, so if you have any other suggestions?”
“Well yes that's true. Though Mark Chapman recently had another hearing to determine weather or not he would have to finish out his life-sentence (he was denied, of course. Can you imagine the man who murdered John Lennon able to walk the streets as a free man? It's awful to think about) And anyways, he has said in the past that religion was his motive for killing him, but in this particular session, he claimed that he was the most famous person he knew at that time so he just wanted him dead. He said that it was just for the fundamentals of killing the most well-known, loved man in the world. Which is even more despicable, I think. And I know that if John was still here, he would encourage us to love all people no matter what. Which includes forgiving those who we feel have done us wrong. He would give him a second chance. Yoko forgave him almost immediately afterwords, which I didn't understand at first but with thorough consideration I guess is why John loved her so much...”
“Well I typically base my favorite album off of my favorite time period then. And as of right now my favorite album is Help! so I would say it'd be their earlier years.... Later in Beatlemania, yet not quite to their premier turning point that was Rubber Soul where they introduced more of their newly bound eastern traits that ushered them into their phycadelic years. I explained my reasoning in the 'Favorite Album' section of my profile if you're interested... And anyways, what about you? Based on what I've compiled of your personality since we've been talking I'm gonna guess you're more into their later years. The philosophical, psychedelic ages?”
