“I downloaded the Free Hi-Res Audio Track OF "Wah -Wah" from All Things Must Pass on the George Harrison official website. It is uncompressed, lossless 24 bit / 96kHz. Unfortunately it doesn't sound much better than the MPEG3 sample being played on the Georgeharrison website. So I burned it to a DVD-R and played it on my audiophile system, where the sound quality was also very disappointing. In fact the 30th Anniversary CD with "Wah-Wah" sounded much better. Of course this song is difficult to resolve because Phil Spector went crazy with his wall of sound on it.
Has anyone had any experience with these or the hi-res FLAC flies sold on the Paul McCartney Band On the Run website? I queried the so called customer service, Topspin, for both websites. They are utterly worthless at answering questions about the products that they are selling.”
