Have you already heard of Noel the English singer and composer, who lives in Nova Friburgo, Rio de Janeiro,Brazil ? Recently, he recorded a CD, "Loving You Tonight," with 16 of his own compositions. All the songs are sung by him, including all the back vocals.

In addition to his compositions, in his shows he sings songs of the Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Bee Gees, Stevie Wonder and many other international artists.
Recently, Noel “has participated 4 times in the show “The Beatles Songs” with the orchestra, Company Philharmonic of Sao Paulo. Also he has performed 4 times with the band and orchestra of Banda Euterpe Friburguense in which he sang 13 Beatles songs in the Main square of Nova Friburgo, Brazil. The shows were a great success and were seen on television in the entire region.
In August 2009 as part of the 8th International Winter Festival of Nova Friburgo Noel participated with the Beatles cover band “O Tunel do Tempo”in The Municipal Theatre in Nova Friburgo,Rio de Janeiro,Brazil

Currently (July 2010) Noel is rehearsing with the Band “Vanguard’s Boys” and will shortly be arranging shows together with them.

BIOGRAPHY.
Noel was born in the city of Cork in southern Ireland, and when he was six months old, his parents relocated to London, where he lived for thirty six years, until in 1986 he moved to Brazil with his Brazilian wife Anna-Maria who he met and married in London
Though he does not know Ireland very well, having spent only two weeks holidays there as a child Noel keeps both Irish and the British nationality. when he was about thirteen years old his family lived in the same street as the head office and studio of EMI Records. Every day he saw famous artists who came to record in the studios and often had the chance to talk with them. One day, there was a huge crowd in the street and, when he asked what was happening, they told him that the Beatles were in the studios. He did not know who they were, however, later that afternoon, he went to the HMV record store and bought the disc "Love me do" and immediately became a Beatles fan and remains so until today
Despite never having studied music, when he was seventeen years old Noel joined a band "NO ENTRY" as the singer, playing in various clubs and bars in London and the surrounding areas. Later, he became involved with other interests and his career, thus leaving the music aside, although at that time he composed four or five songs which he recorded on a demo tape at the EMI studios in London.
When he arrived in Brazil, Noel settled in Nova Friburgo in the state of Rio de Janeiro where he became a dog trainer.At the end of a days work he used to sit in the garden with his own 19 dogs and play his guitar, which he had hardly touched for about twenty years. People who passed by often stopped to hear him sing and one day, someone suggested that he become professional musician and perform for the public. Noel thought about this and registered with the Brazilian Order of Musicians. Soon after this he gave his first show to the Brazilian public in Friburgo Shopping Center and the show was a great success, he discovered that his style was very well appreciated,since that day he has performed in various hotels, clubs, private parties, on
television and local radio stations always well received.
Noel has recorded nine demonstration cds, with hís interpretations of
international music, originally recorded by the Beatles, Frank Sinatra,
Nat King Cole, Elvis Presley, Bee-Gees, Stevie Wonder and various
other artists.

He also has a CD (MP3) with 114 songs and a DVD. The DVD was
recorded in the live show he gave accompanied by Banda Euterpe
Friburguense in which he performed thirteen Beatles songs.

Paul McCartney was the person who most influenced Noel and he had the opportunity to meet him on several occasions since they both lived in same neighborhood in London.
Because of his style of singing many refer to Noel as the fifth Beatle,
but as he himself says, "Beatles, there are only four"!
Recently, Noel participated in the Winter Festival of Nova Friburgo
Country Club, where he sang with the orchestra Company Philharmonic of Sao Paulo, since then he has performed with them 3 more times.
He also did a show, as part of Project circuit of the Arts,
sponsored by Petrobras,the Brazilian national oil company
More recently he has performed in shows with the Band "Blackbird" from Rio de Janeiro (Beatles cover band) and also 3 more concerts with the orchestra of Banda Euterpe Friburguense, in the main square of Nova Friburgo and another in the Country

Currently Noel has launched a CD, `` LOVING YOU TONIGHT’ with sixteen songs of which he composed.
Also he just completed a new demo CD with 20
Beatles songs.

"IT LOOKED LIKE THE 60's''.
The banda Euterpe Friburguense, conducted by Nelson Jose da Silva Neto, and the English musician Noel led the audience wild with a joint presentation last Saturday, 28th October 2006, in the Praca Dermeval Barbosa Moreira. Songs such as Yesterday, Ticket to ride, Something, The Long and winding road, Yellow submarine, Hey Jude, Michelle, Sgt. Pepper's, Let it be, Can’t buy me love, Imagine, Help and Twist and shout thrilled the public of all ages who attended the event.
Besides the banda Euterpe, Noel was accompanied by a giant screen
showing scenes from a documentary about the Beatles.
The last song of the show Twist and shout which compelled the entire audience to leave their seatsand dance on the sidelines.Very animated the public wanted more.
One thing was certain Euterpe and Noel singing Beatles was an unforgettable partnership.

EUTERPE FRIBURGUENSE
On Saturday, at dusk, when the day and night dispute who is more powerful Euterpe Friburguense and the singer Noel gave a great presentation in the Town Square Dermeval Moreira.
There were magic moments and the audience were delighted with the
music of the Beatles, which reflect the daring and romance of the
generation of "Golden Years".
Both the older and younger members of the audience were delighted
