“knowing a bit about dimension theoretics, I can explain the whole E.C. tale logically, whether he actually saw "another Earth" or if he just did it himself.
...all the songs contain older lyrics, but if in our world the Beatles had never split up, that doesn't really mean the ideas of their solo years would not still come to their heads. Paul himself says that "Yesterday" came to him in a dream. If they had stayed a band they probably would have made similar work, only instead of four varied artists it all would have been made collaboratively.
If I had to guess as to what 'really' happened, I would say that either he was knocked out and went on a 'trip' inside his head, inspiring the mashup, or... this is all a farce by Paul/Ringo (much more likely to me) as viral marketing - as the story says this happened on 9/9/09 (Beatles Day) AND the fact that both men are not expressly named. What if this is all just Paul + co messing with us all?”
