Fav Track: A Day In The Life (Sgt Pepper)

The most inteligent tune ever written and performed

My Comments

  • Ringo's drumming is the most underrated and misunterstood of all time; there's a certain melodic and very personal rithym to it that matches Beatles' tunes perfectly!

  • Ringo is by far the most underestimated and misunderstood drummer of all time. As of the Revolver album, his style of playing is incredibly personal, melodic and unique, perfectly consistent with the Beatles' compositions. There is something about his drumming that incorporates the exact melodic percussionism that does not exceeed the precise drumming sound that the tunes required. In Abbey Road, his drumming is simply perfect and sublime and you could recognize it's him even if you ignored it was Ringo on the drums, which is quite a rare situation; quite extraordinary.

Abbey Road

Althought The Beatles were a little distant at the time, their joint harmonys and instrument playing in Abbey Road are the best ever and reflect all four working together at their best, in addition to the fact that the continued linked songs on its original side 2 are an absolute masterpiece.
