My Comments

  • On December 8th 1980 I was at the Tate Gallery in London. The Trustees had placed Peter Blake's painting of the Beatles in the foyer with a card reading "And we all shine on, like the stars and the moon and the sun.." Not a day has passed since without me remembering John and what he gave us all.

John Lennon. Gimme Some Truth. on 5th Jul 10.

  • The best version with George's gorgeous Leslie cabinet guitar effect

The Beatles' final photo session together, at Tittenhurst Park on 9th Sep 09.

  • Great album - the White Album, but things were spinning out of control without Epstein. Still, walking past 3 Saville Row was so exciting... what was going on in there?

    1968 on 9th Sep 09.

  • It was the year everything rotated. And The Beatles were right there in front of it all. Every party just played Sgt Pepper on constant repeat... In Yorkshire I wore a psychedelic shirt to a Rugby Club dance.

    1967 on 9th Sep 09.

  • Asked by a daughter - "Why were The Beatles so big?" - "Because they were so good!"

    Introduction on 9th Sep 09.
