Fav Track: Tomorrow Never Knows (Revolver)

This is an unfair question... She Loves You, I Want to Hold Your Hand, I Saw Her Standing There, Twist and Shout, Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane, Taxman, Rain, The Inner Light,While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Revolution, Walrus, Hello Goodbye, In My Life, Getting Better, Get Back, Revolution, A Day in the Life, side two of Abbey Road, etc, etc... how does one pick? REVOLVER is my favorite LP and while I love every track, to me Got to Get You Back in My Life/Tomorrow Never Knows stand out as the signal of things to come. I was 16 when REVOLVER came out... Tomorrow Never Knows, in the idiom of the time, blew my mind.

My Comments

  • I was 16 when Revolver came out, living in Columbus, Ohio. Revolver sounded like Rubber Soul a bit and then... Tomorrow Never Knows... tomorrow was never the same after that.

    Revolver on 8th Sep 09.

Everyone points to Sgt Pepper as the great LP and it is but from Taxman to Tomorrow Never Knows to the cover art, Revolver is the true groundbreaker.

I agree with this, Revolver is the album that you could hear the changes from Pop to the Experimental music that it was, leading to the changes that was Sgt Pepper and MMT.
By the way I like the way you worded that paragraph there. Peace and stuff.
