“Have been a fan since '62/'63. Collect whatever I can afford. Am a firm believer that it's high time a TV dramatisation of the Beatles story was written and aired. And not just a 90 minute program, but rather a full series. After all it's undoubtedly the most amazing success story in recent times. Yes there have been films, "Birth of The Beatles" "Backbeat" "Anthology" etc. And there are many many books. But a complete series dramatising the story would be great, so long as a brilliant writer is used. I did write to the BBC back in 2011 wondering if they were planing a tribute for the "Love Me Do" 50th anniversary. I made my suggestion, but they did get what I meant. There have been countless films repeating the same story of famous individuals which don't exist e.g, Sherlock Holmes, Tarzan, Merlin. How much more should there be a series for The Beatles?? Are there any other fans who agree??”
