Fav Track: Strawberry Fields Forever (Demo Sequence)
“As I'm sure most Beatles fans would agree, choosing a favourite album is difficult, a favourite song impossible. But one song that always stays at or near the top of my rotation is Strawberry Fields Forever. The Demo Sequence shows the true inner beauty of the song, and the power of John's voice. It also shows us that all the technology and innovation in the world can never mask the fact that every song needs a pure heart, and this is the perfect example.”

“this seems to be a bit of a hidden gem really, one of my favourite John vocal performances for sure! So heavy for it's time.”

“such an amazing album, I always disagreed with George though when he said Rubber Soul & Revolver could have been Volume 1 & 2 of the same album. To me Revolver is a clear progression from Rubber Soul, it has a very different atmosphere. What do you guys think?”

“the image i'm after isn't on here but it was from around this time, it's on the cover of the Helen Spence book, "The Beatles". My uncle brought it over when I was a young boy about 6 years old and I was imediately struck by that cover photograph. I'd never seen people look like that before! I was hooked and it was the start of a beautiful relationship : )”

“The Beatles have been with me since i was six, making them by far the most constant source of happiness in my life. I see my connection to The Beatles as a journey that will never end, even though there is a limited amount of material, it continues to reveal itself in different ways, and changes as I do. I suppose my connection to alot of the music of the 60's at such a young age instilled some of the ethics of that time as well and I've always been acutely aware of my place in the world, or more so, I can see clearly what my place is NOT. I have no plans to "settle down" as they say and would describe my ambition in life a state of mind I aspire to rather than any physical manifestation of success. I play drums in a band and write often but am generally happiest with a beer and a good book. I look forward to sharing some stories and Beatles memories with you all!”

“After the doom and gloom of Let It Be, there's a such a sunny, joyous atmosphere on Abbey Road. It's probably the most fun Beatles Album to listen to, but this doesn't make it trite at all. Ringo's drums have never sounded better and their studio poweress is at it's peak on songs like Maxwell's Silver Hammer. But for me, it's all about side 2. The greatest piece of pop music I've ever heard. Love and joy.”
