“i have read some of the comments posted here and it seems many are confused. In an effort to shed some light hopefully, here goes; For various reasons the songs on Past Masters were either, not previously released versions, other takes, or songs that may have released only Capitol (in the US) or only on Parlophone(in the UK) Some are final takes that are good, but a better or different one was released. In both the CD & vinyl collections that I own, there are 2 discs in 2 seperate covers, Past Masters Volume One & Past Masters Volume Two. an example of what I am clumsily trying to say is; The song, You Know My Name (Look Up The Number) was the "B"side of Let It Be and only released in Britain. Get it? I hope so.Enjoy!”
