“This is easily The Beatles weakest album, but the worst Beatles is still worthy to be listened to. You can hear some growth in Lennon's writing via the influence of Bob Dylan, but there are far too many covers which points to the fact that the road and constant demands for new music was already starting to take it's toll. The band would learn from this and eventually more time was allowed for recording. All you really need to do is look at the tired unsmiling faces on the cover to realize that Beatlemania was beginning to make them tired.”
